      Biography of Mauro Giovanni Carta

      Professor Mauro Giovanni Carta completed his fellowship in Psychiatry and post-graduated from the University of Cagliari, Italy (1986 to 1990). Prof. Carta currently holds the following key positions:(a) Full Professor of Translational Medicine at the University of Cagliari; (b) Head of the Liaison Psychiatric Unit at University Hospital of Cagliari, Italy; (c) Co-chairman at WHO-Geneva and University of Cagliari agreement for implementing the Quality Rights Project in the Mediterranean Area ; (d) Head of a Collaborating Unit, Chafea – European Union, Joint Action on Mental Health, University of Cagliari; (e) President of the Mediterranean Society on Mental Health. He, as an author, has been involved in the publication of more than 200 articles in various international journals.
